Accessibility statement
Last updated: 23 Oct 2026
We want PackAlert to be easy to use for everyone, including people with disabilities. We are working to make the site meet Israeli Standard 5568 (based on WCAG 2.0) at level AA, under Israel's Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013.
Current status
The site has not had a full professional accessibility audit yet. We keep improving it, and list here what has been done and what we know is not accessible yet.
What has been done
- every page declares its language and text direction (Hebrew right to left, English left to right);
- a heading hierarchy, and the same navigation menu at the top of every page;
- text alternatives for product images, with decorative images hidden from screen readers;
- every link and button on the public pages works with a keyboard;
- high contrast between text and background;
- pages adapt to the screen size and can be zoomed in the browser;
- in the app (after signing in) all text can be enlarged up to 200% with the "Text size" setting in the user menu, and pictures open full size with a tap;
- price tables have column headers, and the FAQ uses elements screen readers know;
- no flashing or self-moving content.
What is not accessible yet
- in the app pinch zoom on phones is blocked, with the text size setting in its place; icons and illustrations don't grow with the text;
- price charts are graphics only; the lowest and highest prices appear in text next to them;
- card scanning needs a camera; you can search for a card by name and number instead;
- in articles, image text alternatives come from the content system and are sometimes missing;
- the store sites we link to are not under our control.
